I had meetings in San Diego, and stayed at the Pearl Hotel, a very cool, retro hotel.  It was probably built 50-60 years ago, and is in the old motor-lodge style.  The rooms are redone and are great!  Very cool design features, with both a modern and retro feel.  What I love about this place is that hit has such a great vibe.  I was there on a Movie Night.  They have a screen permanently attached to the second floor walkway.  They project a movie onto the screen, and guests can watch it from the bar, the restaurant, seats on the patio, or even from the pool.  They were showing The Big Lebowski, which is one of my favorites.  

This is a great hotel, and when my travels return me to San Diego, I will surely stay there again.
