Pagosa Springs, CO

Just returned from a family holiday to Pagosa Springs Colorado.  For us, Pagosa was always a "drive through" town - a place that looked nice as we were rushing to drive from Denver to Durango.  Had considered stopping here in the past, but never really thought about an actual stay in the town until Travel Gal's family planned a weekend there.

We rented a large house (5 bed, 4 bath) that abutted the National Forest area.  Great location and fantastic access to the forest.

The absolute highlight for me was the mountain biking in the forest. The trail was well maintained, but rough enough to provide some good opportunities to fall hard!  I did not see one other bike out there the whole time.

The town is nice. The hot springs were a highlight for all the kids.  Many different pools with differing temperatures due to the hot spring water.  The adjacent river provided a VERY cold option to get away from the hot water.

It was a nice weekend in Pagosa, and it will make me consider stopping on our next drive to Durango.
